Subject: WQMC

Dear Editor,

As a former DJ (1969 -1970) and News Director (1970) of WQMC, I miss hearing WQMC on my AM radio around campus, now that I have returned to Queens College to complete my undergraduate degree. Yes, WQMC used to be a "real" radio station, broadcasting from "J" building (now Upward Bound) on a frequency of 590 kHz and hard wired to speakers in the cafeteria (half the size it is now) and what was then called the CMC (now "I" building). It's a shame such a valuable resource as WQMC has become a shadow of its former self.
