Taking in over $150 million at the box office (not to mention proving that we women actually do go to the movies), the long-awaited Sex and the City movie hit theatres May 30, sending women of all ages to the box office to witness New York's most famous quartet finally close the chapters of their lives.

A full cast returned to the big screen for this movie - Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes), Kristen Davis (Charlotte York-Goldenblath), Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) and, of course, Sarah Jessica Parker (filling the Manolo Blahniks of famous sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw).

The film finds the infamous single gals finally settling down. Miranda and Steve (David Eisenburg) battle the ups and downs of marriage, Charlotte and Harry (Evan Handler) take on parenthood with their adopted Vietnamese daughter and Carrie and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) prepare for their upcoming wedding.

The movie was definitely the closure that all fans of the show wanted. With the TV series' end in 2004, fans were left with no specific explanation of what happened to their favorite foursome.

The movie did a fabulous job at giving fans the final frontier for all of their favorite characters. Big and Carrie get married, Steve and Miranda get marriage woes, Charlotte finally gets pregnant and Samantha realizes the need to be an independent woman. Life comes to a comfortable end for the sexy foursome. Personally, I think HBO did an amazing job with the final piece. It will definitely be one of the shows that we will all live to remember.

The DVD will blow you away with special features and extras. The extras are in a two-disc box set that includes a commentary by director Michael Patrick King, a conversation between King and Sarah Jessica Parker, the fabulous fashion of Sex and the City, additional scenes provided with a commentary by Michael Patrick King and a clip of Fergie in the studio. These extras are a very big bonus for the fans, giving them an in-depth look into the making of the film and the fabulous fashions seen on the show.

Overall, both the movie and the extras are highly recommended. Sex and the City: The Movie is the perfect companion piece to the hit show. Sex fans, this is your moment of Zen.
